The magic of “Riders on the Storm” lives in Manzarek’s hands and that timeless Fender Rhodes.
@SVG__Collection The long version of this vid. youtu.be/3deQXzV-qTk
@SVG__Collection Saw him playing that song, Unforgettable.
@SVG__Collection His finest work after the Doors,..
@SVG__Collection Manzarak was an excellent storyteller.
@SVG__Collection I saw Ray Manzarek in person, and he could play with his foot! Not even kidding.
@SVG__Collection Just one of the best pieces of music created by any band of any genre.. Still hairs on the back of the neck stuff.. another track best listen to in the dark or under the night sky. 🎶💫🎶💫🎶😎👌👌👌👌👌
@SVG__Collection i make it point to play this song while it rains on a weekend morning in Arizona sipping coffee, almost giddy
@SVG__Collection Ray Manzarek was cool as fuck.
@SVG__Collection Crystal ship is my favourite : youtube.com/watch?v=4eupra…

Manzarek said the band was really looking forward to touring behind this album when Jim returned from Paris and they’d actually have a real bass player onstage (probably Jerry Scheff who later played in Elvis’ band) and Ray planned to take a synthesizer setup and a Hammond organ. Imagine how Morrison would’ve done Riders onstage
@SVG__Collection Beautiful. My all time favorite rainy day song.
@SVG__Collection Manzarek = keyboard legend
@SVG__Collection @grok what fingering does he use on the rainfall portion?
@SVG__Collection @SFBayAreaJazz That’d be really cool if that simplistic crap came before bebop but the fact that it came after is an embarrassment
