🚨 XABI ALONSO JUST DROPPED A BOMBSHELL ON THE BALLON D’OR 🎙️Reporter: “Xabi, what do you think about the Ballon d’Or nominations? Who do you believe deserves to win?” Xabi Alonso:🗣️ “For me, the Ballon d’Or has never been only about statistics, goals or assists. It is also about character, leadership, mentality and the way you carry yourself as a footballer. “When I hear Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé speak about the Ballon d’Or as if it is something they are entitled to, I disagree with that mentality. The Ballon d’Or is an honour. It is not a player’s right. “Yamal is an extraordinary talent and Mbappé is one of the best players in the world. But talent and reputation alone should not guarantee you this award. “If you ask me who deserves it based on the complete picture, I would say Harry Kane or Michael Olise. They have shown quality, consistency, mentality and the character you expect from a Ballon d’Or winner. “You cannot simply assume that because you are Lamine Yamal or Kylian Mbappé, the award should belong to you. That is not how I understand the Ballon d’Or. “The best player is not necessarily the person who talks the loudest about winning it. Sometimes, the player who deserves the recognition is the one who lets his football speak for him.”

The $1M question: Do you extend him with a release clause (or) Risk losing him and not extending after 2029 Personally, I wouldn’t extend this year. Wait till next and then decide to either extend or sell. Dont think for a minute that extending without a release clause is possible, regardless of how much money is thrown at him.

@ItsAllPoliticss Well said. Just as an FYI, Bab, in Arabic translates to “the door”. Bab is Mandeb, means the “Door of Mandeb”. I’d correct how you’re referencing it.

🚨 Thomas Muller on Harry Kane’s chances of winning the Ballon d’Or: 🗣️ Muller: “I spoke to Harry recently and asked him, ‘Are you actually trying to win the Ballon d’Or?’ He looked at me like it was a strange question and said, ‘What do you mean?’ I said, ‘Mbappe says nobody had a better season than him. Yamal says he deserves it. Every day somebody is making their case. Then they ask you and you start thanking your teammates.’ Harry said, ‘What do you want me to say? I had the season I had. People will decide.’ That is Harry. Sometimes I think he doesn’t understand how these individual awards work. You’re supposed to remind everybody how good you are. Harry will score all these goals, win with Bayern, reach the Champions League semi final, take England to a World Cup semi-final, then somebody puts a microphone in front of him and suddenly we’re hearing about how important the dressing room was. I told him, ‘Harry, this is the Ballon d’Or. They are only giving one.’ He laughed. But maybe people are overlooking him because he makes everything sound normal. We watched him wait years for people to use trophies against him. Then he starts winning them and somehow everybody immediately finds something more interesting to discuss. And I understand why. Harry doesn’t create much noise. There is no campaign. There is no controversy every week. He isn’t telling everybody that the award belongs to him. But if we’re judging the football, eventually somebody has to open the folder. The goals are there. The trophies are there. Bayern went deep in Europe. England went deep at the World Cup. And through all of it, he was Harry Kane. So maybe that’s his campaign. Mbappe can make his case. Yamal can make his case. Nothing wrong with that. Harry seems to have decided his season can make his. I just hope the voters haven’t mistaken silence for absence.”

A king who must say he is the king, is never a true king. "Hand me the Ballon d‘Or" - Yamal & Mbappe "It‘s not in my hand" - Harry Kane The best player in the world and a true king. Give Kane his Ballon d‘Or.
