Join us for the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) to clean up our local beaches, streams, parks, and neighborhoods. Every piece of trash, can lead to a healthier ocean. Our small actions can make a BIG difference. Visit SignUpToCleanUp.org or visit the link in @OceanConservancy’s bio to join the wave today. @MyPeakChallenge
@SamHeughan I’ll be doing clean ups at my local ponds and lakes. It’s just a part of my everyday routine but this time it will be for the ICC!
@SamHeughan I went on and volunteered with a group out of Northern Neck VA. Thank you Sam.
@SamHeughan #SundayThing every Sunday in 2023 so far.
Plastic waste floating in the water can look a lot like food to marine animals. 33% of fishes were found to have consumed plastic, which is chemical and toxic, and poses threats to their health or even kill them. Plastic waste in the ocean can trap animals easily, which prevents them from eating or swimming, and can even cause them to drown.
@SamHeughan @barbaramills1 I do the best I can on picking up other peoples trash Sam!!! We have no Oceans here in Michigan!!!🙌🙌🙌🙌💪💪💪💪
@SamHeughan That is very important!! I'm a Chef onboard a Norwegian Cruise Ship sailing along the Norwegian Coast line with passengers, and yes,I see a lot unfortunately. Let us take care of our oceans 🌊,clean up the garbage 💙 Thank you for sharing,Sam!!💙
@SamHeughan If you don’t live near the ocean, volunteer to clean up nearby rivers, streams and other waterways. Most communities have annual or semi animal organized cleanups. You can also pick up trash yourself, whenever and wherever you see it. Everyone can make a difference.
