I received a letter from my friend, a Belarusian human rights defender Valentin Stefanovich from prison in Minsk. He sent this letter in early February, but I received it only now, exactly on the anniversary of his and other colleagues from Viasna's arrest. 1/2

Today we commemorate the tragic anniversary of the mass deportation of Crimean Tatars.The ethnic cleansing of Crimea was carried out on Stalin's orders in 1944. More than 46% of the deportees died then. Their empty houses in Crimea were inhabited by 51,000 people, mostly Russians

Russia continues to attack the Azovstal plant. In this video, you can see the children who, according to the Russians, are not there. They need a humanitarian corridor. I'm interested, will the world only watch this tragedy, or will the UN and the ICRC do at least something?
