With Tesla having gotten rid of all U.S. inventory discounts today, here's how much more expensive each Model Y trim is from inventory: • Model Y RWD: $3,600 • Model Y LR: $5,000 • Model Y Performance: $5,300 Current inventory prices are now the same as the online configurator prices have been for a while.
@SawyerMerritt Inventory prices in Malaysia are always the same as custom design prices. I didn't know that the US had a different price.
@SawyerMerritt I would still say that this is a bargain Lots of value
@SawyerMerritt Should just remove the new inventory entirely and display local demo drive configuration and availability x.com/jpuconn/status…

@SawyerMerritt I was close to pulling the trigger on one but now I’ll pass and wait for refresh.
@SawyerMerritt that's significant increases. On the other hand the US folks have a big 7.5k tax discount compared to other countries. Here in Canada we have about half of this
@SawyerMerritt I think they cut production of the Y in Texas and have fewer to sell in the US, hence the price hike. GigaTexas is accelerating Cybertruck production to get to scale faster, and allow them to lower its price soon.
@SawyerMerritt Still have the inventory discount?
@SawyerMerritt I’d bet that they are big discounts coming and it will be in both the inventory and the configuration. If FSD is that bad the priority, then you want to sell as many as you can produce, so Elon will probably cut prices a lot! Get ready!
