Al-Khwarizmi wrote "Kitab al hisab al Hindi"( "book of Hindu numericals"). This was translated into Latin by the name "Algorithmi de Numero Indorum" ("Al-Khwarizmi's Indian numericals"). This book's name was abbreviated as "Algorithm". That is how the world knows it today
Why are algorithms called algorithms? 👉It's thanks to Muslim mathematician Muhammad al-Khwarizmi who was born way back in around AD780. 📽️ @bbcideas youtu.be/oRkNaF0QvnI #MuslimScientist
