Today marks nine years since President Obama's Department of Defense rescinded the ridiculous exclusion of women in combat. Because, *of course* America’s daughters can defend her in combat as well as her sons. Am I right, ladies?💪
@SenDuckworth Wasn’t Harriet Tubman an officer already in 1863 during the civil war? 🦸🏾♀️
@SenDuckworth @WHCOS I took the ASFAB test and the flight test. Scored 100% on both. Unfortunately there was no place for me in P3 Orions sub hunting or flying helicopters or flying for that matter. The flight careers had a “combat” designation. Somhappy for those who can now participate!
@SenDuckworth Sen Duckworth is the real Captain America.
@SenDuckworth Great picture! Thanks for your service!
@SenDuckworth Really? This endangers the effectiveness of our armed forces as a whole. True, some women can handle some combat riles, but not frintline. These exceptions are the exception vice the general rule of fact. The 2 genders have physiological differences.
@SenDuckworth Thank you for your service, Senator 🇺🇸
@SenDuckworth Present and accounted for
@SenDuckworth There is absolutely no question the gals can do just as well as the guys. Sometimes better. That's not the point. The whole point anyway. Battle is primal. And, there needs to be something to go to battle for. 'Mom, apple pie, and the girl next door' is a good one.
