I lost a friend over NFTs. Not because I told them to buy at the peak. Not even because I advised selling before the pump. It's a tale of greed and betrayal - a reminder that some people will stab you in the back for very little. Here's how it went down: We were childhood friends, practically inseparable. Same building, same school. Countless hours spent together. But it all meant nothing. During the 2021 bull run, as I mastered the "art" of flipping NFTs, I decided to share my success with my best bud. He knew nothing about it, so I taught him everything I knew. To ease his fears of investing his own money, I proposed a simple plan: I'd send funds to his wallet for minting a hot Solana Project (before bots took over). If either of us struck gold, we'd split the profit 50/50. No risk for him, an extra chance for me. A perfect Win/Win. But there was one thing I overlooked: My friend had always been a reckless gambler, horrible with finances. And as you might have guessed, he minted the project. Sold it instantly for around 3.5k... and promptly blocked me on every social media. Being thousands of kilometers away in another country didn't help either. I reached out to him on every platform imaginable but received no response. The painful lesson I learned: Never mix money with friendship—it's just not worth it.
