@badmotorfinger @bears_43 @dhh I've also ran most of them at one point or another. I was there when Fedora Core 1 split off from Red Hat. I even ran Mandrake when that was a thing. Gentoo keeps calling me back though due to the superior control over the system.

@badmotorfinger @bears_43 @dhh On going maintenance isn't terribly difficult either really. Revdep-rebuild and emerge --depclean do almost all of the heavy lifting. The hardest thing is probably reviewing config changes with updates.

@bears_43 @badmotorfinger @dhh People who don't want to put in the work don't get to choose how their OS works. Its unfortunate that so many distros went the systemd route, but that's just the way it is. Gentoo is only as difficult as you make it.
