The lack of funding that is provided for women's shelters need to be increased by the government. It is a growing issue as the health and safety of our women in the community is always at risk.
Poverty, food insecurity, and homelessness are all issues prevalent in Canada thank you @traceyram for representing the needs of ALL Canadians #homelessnesshurts

Lately, we've been getting a lot of questions about homelessness in Windsor. Well, YOU asked and WE listened. On September 12th at 10am, we are hosting a live "Ask Us Anything Session" on our Facebook! Grab a friend and tune in to make sure you get to ask your question.
Tune in tomorrow on our Facebook page at 10am to ask us anything you want about our services, about homelessness in our community, about homelessness solutions or anything in between! #AskUsAnything #Awareness
Women deserve the right to the funding as the men receive for their homeless shelters; men receive half of their funding from the government whereas, women only receive 10% of their funding from the government.
There needs to be more awareness brought to this topic of homelessness, especially for women, in order to create a bigger change!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The lack of homeless shelter space for women has been rising as the years go by, especially in Ontario.
