Enlightenment Deism benefitted from 1000yrs of Christianity which established societal guardrails, moral norms, etc., Secular Humanism of the past 100yrs eroded guardrails & norms which Enlightenment Deists presumed. The result? Moral & societal rot. Secularism = chaos.

Protestants need to dialogue with our Roman Catholic brothers & sisters on IVF. They’ve done far more critical thought on many moral & social issues including IVF. If Prots want a consistent ethic on “sanctity of life“ then we simply must look more deeply at IVF.

Pres. #JimmyCarter Professing Christian National Cathedral Funeral “Imagine” an anthem of atheistic secular humanism is sung. Whatever your opinion of Carter, his faith, etc., this was highly inappropriate for both he & the venue. Our culture has lost all sense of propriety.
