Tried to help someone get a job - when I was speaking to the employer their basic response was that they were not interested in hiring Canadian citizens - This is the legacy of Trudeau - mass exploitation under consent of the state -
@ShaziGoalie Were totally in a recession, I'm in construction and its a husk of what it has been over the last 3 years. And people I talk to who are dialed into the media think we need more workers. Those days are gone, by the time they report the recession it will have happened already.
Returning our gas-fueled car a year before the lease ends, and going for a plug-in hybrid. Same model, drives better, similar sticker price. But I'm going to save $400 a month by plugging it in rather than filling it with dead dinosaurs. Lots of good options now:
@ShaziGoalie I'm an IT contractor too. Rates are abysmal lately because they can always and quite easily find someone cheaper. We all know exactly where those resources are from. Need to be an upper class Hindu to get a job these days.
@ShaziGoalie I know so many of them who had decent contracts with big 5 banks & few other companies. They all ended up taking roles of 80-90k as they were without contract for 6-8 months.

Moncton is getting pretty damn close to a buyers’ market. We’re at 4 months of inventory and even hit 5 months of inventory in March. There is a very real possibility we hit 6 months of inventory in May.
