The Father of the Flame fight was really fun. It's pretty easy but being basically a platforming/bullet hell challenge with no Silk changed things up in an interesting way
I think HK has better area design overall (no place on Silksong is touching the Queen's Gardens) but having a fire area and an ice area in diametrically opposed points is so good

as someone who in general is super bad at games i cant seem to put silksong down because im so determined to finish it and the story is so amazing 😭😭 suffering so much because of how invested i am!!!!!!
I was busier than usual last week and tried to focus on Silksong in my free time so I took a break from movies and comics. Hopefully starting tomorrow I can get back on track
I do think it's pretty funny that after defeating Groal I was like “oh good now I never want to set foot on Bilewater again” and then I immediately did Shakra's quest
To anyone keeping track I'm now 50 hours in. Cleared Bilewater, did Shakra's quest and cleared the High Halls gauntlet
Defeated Groal the Great lmao
I think my biggest gripe with Silksong difficulty (blah blah blah thematic difficulty etc) is that it doesn't feel cathartic. There's no rush of adrenaline in defeating a boss that offsets how much I hated fighting it like in HK. I just thing “ugh finally” every single time
