On Ramnavmi, our entire clan would go to Akingam, a small village in Anantnag, climb the hill where Shiva Bhagwati (Goddess Shakti/Durga to whom our classical folk dance ‘Bhandpather’ is dedicated) resides in her abode. My grandparents, parents, cousins, almost all Hindus of Anantnag would offer prayers and yellow rice at the small temple. 35 years later, I relived the memory of my childhood by doing exactly what my ancestors did today. Was pleased to find that there is now a proper road up to the hill and was even happier to discover that the temple is under construction and is as beautiful and divine as the place always was in my memory. Happy Ram Navmi! 🙏
@AartiTikoo Such things really motivate us and we keep on hoping that the day is not far off when all migrant kashmiri pandits will get settled back to their birth place. Since last three and half decades, we keep our hopes alive and pray to Mahadev to help us in our efforts
@ShibenSalman @AartiTikoo Some of my Kashmiri Pundits friends said they went back to stay in Srinagar.
