🚨⏰Sometimes, abuse doesn’t begin with a threat. It begins with a reward. Abusers may use special attention, gifts, money, opportunities, privileges, praise, or promises of success to build trust and create a sense of dependence. This process is often called grooming. For a child, young person, or even an adult in a vulnerable situation, this can be confusing. They may fear losing the attention, opportunities, support, or benefits they have received if they speak up. Sometimes, abusers also groom the people around their target by building trust, offering favours, money, opportunities, or creating a positive image of themselves. This can make it even harder for someone experiencing abuse to be believed or to know who they can safely talk to. That is why we need to understand that silence does not mean consent, and staying silent does not mean the person is okay. Many people who experience abuse do not speak about it immediately. Some may only speak years later, while others may never talk about what happened. We need to create environments where people can speak without fear, shame, blame, or the fear of losing something important to them. Listen. Believe. Support. Protect. Fear keeps people silent, and silence allows harm to continue. #Safeguarding #ChildProtection #EndAbuse #SpeakUp #SafeSpaces #Awareness

From 6th–9th August, I had the privilege of being part of something truly special, the first-ever #BrotherhoodRising2026 at Extreme Adventure Park Busiika. This was more than just an event for me. It was a reminder of how much the boy child needs someone to believe in him, guide him, listen to him and remind him that he matters. I witnessed young boys being inspired, challenged, mentored and given a safe space to learn, grow, have fun and simply be themselves. This beautiful vision was brought to life through the passion of two incredible people, @CarolKNdilima of @SkillsphereUg and @Wonder__jR of M3, who chose to invest in the future of the boy child. From life skills, mental wellness and leadership to entrepreneurship, financial literacy, creativity and brotherhood: every moment carried a lesson. I leave this experience with a grateful heart, beautiful memories and an even stronger belief that when we intentionally invest in our boys today, we are shaping the men and leaders of tomorrow. Thank you to the visionaries and everyone who showed up for the boys. This is only the beginning. Even December Tujja🫡 #BrotherhoodRising2026 #MoldMentorMultiply
