Skowhega, Maine. 20-year-old killer, Jason Servil, was sentenced to only 45 years for the July 2022 stabbing death of Alice “Allie” Abbott, 20. Abbott had initially met Servil on a dating site but was not interested in pursuing a longterm relationship and broke it off. When Servil saw on Facebook that Alice was dating someone else, he became consumed with jealousy. Servil, a Boston resident, traveled to her family's property where Abbott was staying in a camper with her boyfriend. Servil hit the boyfriend over the head and stabbed Abbott around 100 times. During sentencing, family members of the victim were enraged. The brother tried to attack the killer but was stopped by law enforcement, tased and arrested while the mother yelled "racial slurs" at the killer. Abbott's family had asked for a life sentence and were incensed at the lack of justice.
