Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with ‘Makon Sahabbai.’ That’s a good innovation (Bid’a.) But what I’m struggling to understand is how people see nothing wrong with it but would see everything wrong with ‘ Makon Annabi’ or ‘ Maulud.’ Isn’t this a cognitive dissonance?

Make efforts to pray at nights, for Shaykh Ahmad At-Tijani رضي الله عنه said: وإن من أيقظه الله فيه ( الثلث الاخير) فقد استدعاه الى رحمته. “If Allah awakens someone in the third part of the night, He (Allah) has called that person to His mercy."
