I 'might' perform at the open mic night in my hometown. Everyone here knows me as the bass or rhythm player for my husband, but when I moved to Colorado I challenged myself to get up on stage alone. I'm not great, but I get lots of love. How can I pass it up? I can't!
When I'm not playing music, I'm working on my house and property, so sore from raking, weeding, pushing wheelbarrows, BUT I am grateful that I have weeds to pull and dirt to move. My little house is a blessing. #homesweethome

Playing the guitar with the Lincoln Highway band this week and for the first time I'm gonna play the #Nevada state song, Home Means Nevada, just like the lady who wrote it, I came from back East, raised my kids here and it's home sweet home to me.
I quit playing the guitar at about 16, after a teacher embarrassed me in front of the guitar class, then 20 yrs later the hubby, Mel (right), needed a duo partner and the whirlwind began, hundreds of gigs and 2 CD's. RIP Mel #rockstar #husbandandwife #loveandmarriage
Tonight our grandson is playing double bass in the pit for the town's opening performance of Fiddler on the Roof, I saw it on Broadway long ago with Zero Mostel as Tevye. Mel is gone, but we play music because of his influence. #musicians

Heading to band practice with Lincoln Highway, such wonderful men. After Mel passed they invited me to strum guitars with them when I thought I would NEVER pick up a guitar again. They helped re-start my life.

Yesterday a friend made a quiche with eggs from the chickens I gave her and brought it over for lunch. She served it with sour cream and her homemade salsa. So good! Then she helped me clear out stuff from the basement.
