I live under a rock and had missed there were rail strikes tmrrw. My name is about to be mud at work because there is no way for me to get to my shift unless I want to spend 5 hours travelling home, inc an hour's wait 1-2am in Castle Donnington, getting home at gone 3am. 😭

I am on holiday. I recieved a round-robin text from Severn Trent water telling me not to worry about any changes to the pressure or colour of the water as they are aware the fire brigade are in my area. WHY ARE THE FIRE BRIGADE IN MY AREA? IS MY HOUSE OK?

Worked a medical shift at Nottingham Racecourse on Wednesday. Had confirmation last night that one if the horses was destroyed after being injured in a race. Barbaric, poor baby had only just turned 6 😢 I won't be booking anymore racecourse shifts anymore.

Provided medical cover at a racecourse today. One of the horses stumbled, and has probably been destroyed by now (colleague saw it holding a floppy hoof off the ground before the barriers went up.) I cannot stop thinking about it, poor baby. I don't really want to go back.
