A healthy partner doesn't make you feel like you have to perform for their love. You can be honest. You can make mistakes. You can say what you think. You can disagree. And still feel respected 🙎

If I were your uncle, I'd tell you Don't marry someone simply because they are afraid to lose you. Choose someone who genuinely wants to build with you. Fear can keep people together. Commitment builds something🙎

Don't only ask: Does this person love me? Also ask....Do I like the person I become when I'm with them? That's a question worth sitting with

One conversation you shouldn't avoid before marriage: What do you expect from me as your husband/wife?...don't assume. Ask.....People enter marriage with expectations they never discussed and then become angry when reality doesn't match them🙎

@TheOdin_II The controversial part is this: sometimes “walk away” is easier advice than learning how to love an imperfect person. Trauma isn’t an excuse to mistreat you, but neither is it an automatic reason to abandon someone🙎

@marriedmn That mindset is why many people keep searching for perfect and keep losing good.

@marriedmn True People don’t want marriage anymore; they want a permanent honeymoon with a financially successful roommate who never disappoints them. The moment real life demands patience, sacrifice, forgiveness and responsibility, they call it “settling.” 🙎

Before you complain that you haven't found the right person... ask yourself: Am I becoming the kind of person the right person would also want to build a life with? .....sometimes the preparation matters just as much as the search🙎

Don't marry because you're tired of being single.....Loneliness can make the wrong person look like the right person, take your time. The person you marry isn't just someone you'll love, they're someone you'll have to build a life with 🙎

Don't marry someone because you are afraid of being alone, marriage should not be an escape from loneliness🙎

Sometimes a woman may believe her beauty or sexuality gives her power over a man, until she meets a man who values character more than temptation.

A woman may forgive your mistake, but the way you made her feel can stay with her for a long time.

He: You said you were going to sleep early. Her: I did. He: Then why were you online at 2:47am? Her: I woke up. He: For 2 hours? Her: Yes. He: What woke you up? Her: Your spirit. Now goodnight. 😭

Sometimes a woman doesn’t leave because she stopped loving you; she leaves because she got tired of feeling alone while still being with you.

@TheOdin_II Marriage can give you someone beside you, but it cannot guarantee that you’ll never feel alone. Sometimes two people don’t stop loving each other they simply stop reaching for each other.

@marriedmn You made a terrible mistake, but you did not deserve to be punished forever for it. Take responsibility for the betrayal, but never confuse accountability with accepting humiliation or emotional abuse You both deserved a healthier ending.
