One half of SF is deranged drug peddling DEI lunatics and other is a bunch of Money obsessed Striver dorks. It combines to make the most soulless shithole on Earth. Worst fumble in world history.

Quite a report: the President of the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department Oversight Board: — drove to a public plaza and picked up a troubled woman with a “history of involuntary psychiatric holds,” gave her drugs, and slept with her, later claiming he was her “life coach” and was

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that so many people who have spent a long amount of time in tech are spiritual

@Oxandrolonely @Michael_Druggan You didn’t present any data, are you retarded? You do realize that both our claims are completely compatible? Unless you believe Retatrutide actually causes no side effects. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12…

@Oxandrolonely @Michael_Druggan Shitting your pants is only “dangerous” socially but also “some people took the drug with no side effects” is not an argument for anything.

I think the intent of these posts is to imply that people within this system are enriching themselves but is there actually any evidence of that? A superintendent making $200k+ is basically par for the course in large school systems and not indicative of anything sinister imo

imagine paying $50 billion for public schools. they're about as dangerous as the locale juvenile detention center, and half the kids can't read. every year you're told their failure is your fault, because you don't give the communist teacher's union enough money.

“Superintelligence that can cure all diseases, end death, colonize the galaxy, etc. will just be economically marginal.” You people have no ability to think at all.

I am glad I am not insane when doing back-of-the-napkin math on AI costs without VC subsidies and come to the conclusion that the benefit will be marginal at best and not economically feasible at worst.

Pretty boring take. Those same tokens cost like 1/3 or less by next year and on the other side better token quality costs the same. If only your employees cost less every year instead of more.

Mark Cuban @mcuban

This is the smartest counter I’ve seen to ai taking over jobs, in the short term. Is the ((aggregate tokens cost to do what an employee does + plus fully encumbered developer and maintenance costs ) / (fully encumbered employee cost ) )<= productivity ? If it takes 8 Claude

I prefer SV ambition where if you survive the train school you go to Stanford for a year and then get invited to a private party with Thiel or Sama and degrade yourself for 10% of your AI Slop Coding IDE Company.

In a way, I think Seattle lacks ambition Ambition in Seattle looks like performing well in high school, getting into uw cs, and getting internships and jobs in big tech Where does the ambition go after age 22, when they get the job?

99% of ai is people who have never been able to code being amazed by AI’s ability to create very simple front end interfaces with basic database backends to automate mundane tasks marketers are absolutely printing off this
