@AmethystArise Nick shrugged with a sigh when Ari had commented about not being his wife and wondered why he would even ask her. "Getting someone's opinion who /isn't/ my mother just seemed refreshing." He replied before she continued on. "So, your story? Kind of like Emma's?"

@AmethystArise Nick quickly shook his head. Did this woman notice everything? Seemed like it. Then again, a mother had to be vigilant, he supposed. He took a sip of coffee and then motioned to the empty space across from him in the booth.

@AmethystArise Nick heard Granny from where he sat. Flirting? He never really saw what he was doing as flirting. And maybe he was oblivious but he didn't think she was flirting either. Nick sat back in his seat and tapped his fingers on the table, nervously as he waited.

@AmethystArise The first reply that came to Nick's head was 'You' and then the imagination of him standing and whisking her away. It was a lovely thought. Weird... but he replied with, "Eggs Benedict and coffee please."

@AmethystArise Nick nodded and as she walked away, "Do you think when my food is done you could get a few minutes for a break? I need to talk to you." Nick said, his nervousness of having to tell her the truth creeping up on him already.

@AmethystArise Nick blushed and then let a chuckle emit from parted lips. "Only when I'm hungry." He replied. "I feel awkward giving you my order." He was half joking but it did seem odd. Considering, he /did/ in fact want more then friendship with her. It felt like he was ordering her what --

@AmethystArise Nick blushed as he felt her gentle hand against his. He watched as she went inside and then stared at the number on his hand a moment. That night, he couldn't get Ari out of his head. Thought about her. Even dreamt about her. The next day he called his brother. He needed to --

@AmethystArise "I'd like that." Nick said as he thought about it. Thanks to his stupid lie, he had to make it seem as though he was busy. "Why don't you give me your number and I'll let you know."
