Lindgren is famous for writing children's books about characters such as Pippi Longstocking, Emil and Ronja the Robber's daughter. To Han Kang, Lindgren has been a literary inspiration. Today I got a call inviting me to consider a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: to become the interim CEO of @OpenAI. After consulting with my family and reflecting on it for just a few hours, I accepted. I had recently resigned from my role as CEO of Twitch due to the birth of my now 9 month old son. Spending time with him has been every bit as rewarding as I thought it would be, and I was happily avoiding full time employment. I took this job because I believe that OpenAI is one of the most important companies currently in existence. When the board shared the situation and asked me to take the role, I did not make the decision lightly. Ultimately I felt that I had a duty to help if I could. I have spent today drinking from the firehose as much as possible, speaking with the board, a small number of major partners, and listening to employees. Our partnership with Microsoft remains strong, and my priority in the coming weeks will be to make sure we continue to serve all our customers well. OpenAI employees are extremely impressive, as you might have guessed, and mission-driven in the extreme. And it’s clear that the process and communications around Sam’s removal has been handled very badly, which has seriously damaged our trust. I have a three point plan for the next 30 days: - Hire an independent investigator to dig into the entire process leading up to this point and generate a full report. - Continue to speak to as many of our employees, partners, investors, and customers as possible, take good notes, and share the key takeaways. - Reform the management and leadership team in light of recent departures into an effective force to drive results for our customers. Depending on the results everything we learn from these, I will drive changes in the organization — up to and including pushing strongly for significant governance changes if necessary. I will be rolling these out as they become clear over the 30 day period. OpenAI’s stability and success are too important to allow turmoil to disrupt them like this. I will endeavor to address the key concerns as well, although in many cases I believe it may take longer than a month to achieve true progress. I have nothing but respect for what Sam and the entire OpenAI team have built. It’s not just an incredible research project and software product, but an incredible company. I’m here because I know that, and I want to do everything in my power to protect it and grow it further. It's now 1am and I'll pick this up tomorrow. PS: I am posting this here both because I think it’s in the general public interest to know in this case, but please don’t expect all future internal comms to come through a public channel. PPS: Before I took the job, I checked on the reasoning behind the change. The board did *not* remove Sam over any specific disagreement on safety, their reasoning was completely different from that. I'm not crazy enough to take this job without board support for commercializing our awesome models.

척추관 협착증은 어떤 의사를 만나는지에 따라 치료는 천지차이... 1. 협착증을 자연스런 노화현상으로 보는 의사.(운동 치료) 2. 협착증을 디스크 문제로 보는 의사.( 운동과 신경치료) 3. 협착증을 쭈그러지고 비대해진 황색 인대로 보는 의사. ( 미니멀 수술) 4 협착증을 수술로 좁아진 모두 부분을 제거하고 고정해야 한다고 생각하는 의사. (고정술) 모두 척추를 전문으로 보는 의사들임에도 기본적 관점에 큰 차이가 있습니다 ( 역시 정답은 없음 ) 제 개인적 생각을 정리한다면 - 자연스런 노화현상은 맞지만 MR사진만 보면 속 시원하게 수술로 눌린 부분을 제거해 주고 싶지만.. 일단 인내가 가장 중요. 1) 협착이 오지 않도록 미리 중립자세 유지와 코어 운동으로 예방. 2) 협착증 증상 ( 다리저림. 간헐적 파행)이 있으면 바로 치료시작 3)치료는 나이 건강상태( 마취와 수술을 견딜수 있는) 활동범위에 따라 결정해야 하며 4) 일단 쉬면 좋아지는 병이기에 조급해 하지말고 운동, 약물치료, 시술, 작은 수술, 고정술등 치료의 단계를 부담이 적은 것부터 시작. 5) 그럼에도 불구하고 병 자체가 오랜기간 퇴행의 결과로 생긴 것이기에 호전도 인내가 필요한데 성질급한 환자와 의사가 만나면 바로 고정술을 하고 만족도도 떨어짐 ( 수술 후에도 같은 나쁜 생활) 즉 부모님이 급하면 자식들이라도 잘알고 판단해야 합니다. 무조건 대학병원 큰 수술,전문병원 비싼 시술이 효도는 아닙니다.
