The Patriots had reportedly drafted a multi-year contract extension but Kraft pulled the deal because he wanted to go year by year instead. Then he had all his lackeys in the media cover his ass and try to pin all the blame on Belichick.

His pass defenses were so effective that the NFL literally had to change the rules in order to counter him. Pretty much every defensive scheme and concept in the modern NFL has been influenced by this in some way.

The reality with Testaverde is he was a career loser who had a losing record both before and after Belichick. BB also managed to win 11 games with Testaverde, that doesn’t really mean anything.

What they did beyond that isn’t his responsibility. Some people are just better suited to be assistants than the top guy.

Belichick’s QBs were straight up dogshit in comparison. Bledsoe was BB’s only decent QB and only for 1 season.

His SF sample stretches back to when he first entered the league and was still very raw. He had developed into a good QB over time.

That’s 9 hits out of 13 first round draft picks, an exceptional hit rate. Is your expectation that GMs hit on literally every 1st round pick?
@ramjet729 @Savageboston He drafted the GOAT QB, GOAT TE, good OL and RBs for nearly 20 years, and brought in various other playmakers such as Welker, Moss, Edelman, etc. Belichick quite literally built the best offense in the NFL from 01-19 via his draft picks and FA signings.
