Suhel Seth flags late-night noise complaint against Shilpa Shetty-backed Bastian in Goa storyboard18.com/social-media/s… @TheShilpaShetty thismproves why we don't want you outsiders here in Goa destroying our peace. We don't want this please take your club & go to your state

@charassiaaa Thank u for this. I visited Sri Lanka 10yrs ago & shared d same sentiment-dat too Sri Lanka faced a lot more devastation -civil war countless times, natural calamities, a weaker Rupee, & YET the HUMBLE, PATIENT PEOPLE have much more responsibility & respect for d environment.

@PrakashWKamatPK @arunpandeygoa @arzindia @DrPramodPSawant @DGP_Goa @Varsha270819 @Goa_Police This is really derogatory. Why do they need to associate with a religious & holy festival, it hurts pur sentiments of Goans, Goan culture & religion. These outsider must be banned from Goa. Strict action must be taken! Immediately!@DrPramodPSawant @Goa_Police

@PrakashWKamatPK @GoaHumaneTrust @goapolice I'm forced to say this because I don't see any action taken otherwise, really really sad state of affairs

@PrakashWKamatPK @GoaHumaneTrust @goapolice Because they don't get money from voiceless innocent animals or those fighting for their rights

The credibility of the @ECISVEEP is in dust. For almost 7 decades post independence, largely everyone took pride in the conduct of elections in India. As of today, nobody can claim the elections in our country are held in a free and fair manner. The shamefully opaque manner of workings of the ECI make it not just shady, but a disgrace to its real intent. Anyone can win or loose, provided it is a fair election.

@AUThackeray Congratulations to you & all those who supported & worked with you all, may God's many blessings be upon you for standing by your roots & standing with pride for what is Just!

Why I am leaving Twitter. I have made the decision to leave Twitter. Twitter, far from being the groundbreaking medium that initially made information accessible to the greatest possible number of people, has in recent years become an impressive tool for destroying our democracies. Whether it be manipulation, disinformation, the fostering of hatred, harassment, anti-Semitism and open racism, or vicious attacks on scientists, climatologists, women, environmentalists, liberals and all those of good will who wish to engage in peaceful political debate in an increasingly complex world, the range of abuses is endless. Not to mention the daily external meddling in electoral processes, aimed at destabilizing our democracies and undermining their image and sovereignty. Today, controversy, rumor and crude manipulation rule public debate, fueled by Twitter's algorithm, where the only thing that counts is the number of "likes". Facts are irrelevant. This platform and its owner intentionally exacerbates tensions and conflicts. Furthermore, it intentionally hinders the information needed to bring about the ecological and energy transformation we much need, in favor of climate protectionist arguments driven by fossil fuel interests and boundless greed for the planet. We can keep denying, clarifying and explaining, but the noise produced by a piece of misinformation will still dwarf the echo of a proven truth. We must not deceive ourselves. We are dealing here with an utterly clear political project to push aside democracy and its values in favor of powerful private interests. The latest transparency report on content control, released by Twitter itself, ranks France first in Europe for violent and illegal content. This medium has become a gigantic global sewer, and we should continue to wade into it? We see it every day: Twitter hinders debate, the quest for truth, and the serene and constructive dialogue needed between human beings. With its thousands of anonymous accounts and its troll farms, life on Twitter is the exact opposite of democratic life. I refuse to endorse this evil scheme. I believe deeply in democracy, which remains in the making. I believe in exchanges, in these difficult times. We should never accept the bullying of vile attacks. We should not allow the "engineers of chaos" to seize control of our destinies. We should not accept the daily disintegration of our democracies on our screens. In March 2009, I was one of the first French women in politics to join this network, which today counts a community of over 1,500,000 subscribers worldwide. To remain true to my convictions and my commitment, I am leaving Twitter today. I will remain on other social media networks in which respectful exchanges can still take place: linktr.ee/anne_hidalgo We need more than ever to keep real democracy alive, whether it be through town councils, town meetings, referendums, conferences or get-togethers. These are places where people see each other, argue, build together and simply live together. When all is dark, we need to reach for the light and those great spirits who, at certain times in our history, have shown us the way. "We must learn to live together as brothers, or we will all die together as idiots", Martin Luther King told us in the early 1960s. We can trust each other and find our way back to democracy, peace and fraternity. It is in our hands. Read this Op-ED in @lemondefr : lemonde.fr/idees/article/…

Breaking: SC observes prima facie case against presiding returning officer in Chandigarh mayoral poll where BJP candidate was declared elected even when AAP-Cong had the numbers . CJI: it is obvious that he has defaced the ballot papers, he needs to be prosecuted.. this is MOCKERY and MURDER of democracy, we are appalled. Fine words from Justice Chandrachud, but will anyone act? And more crucially, will anything change when it comes to ensuring a level playing field in major elections. Next hearing on Feb 12.

BREAKING: Canada just passed Bill S-5, which will END painful toxicity tests on animals! 🐰🎉 A huge thank you to the politicians, animal protection groups, & our supporters who helped win this historic victory! #CrueltyFree animaljustice.ca/blog/toxicity-…

Hello Bertie & each Journalist in India put this question your local corporators & officials !!! 1) Where has the money allocated for ABC Program gone ❓(Animal Birth Control) 2) Why are there so many dogs on the streets❓ 3) Why is sterlisation of animals not taking place regularly❓ 4) Why don't Indian animals get facilities of hospitals, shelters, vets, ambulances out millions of funds allocated in thr name❓ 5) Since independence there is a notification put in place that thr should be SPCA in each district of India & DM has to ensure veterinary hospital, vet doctors, adequate staff, ambulances. Why it's not in my district ❓ For decades ... No journalist or citizen is questioning ... why this has not happened !!! All funds either lapse or s!phoned. We are now aware ... The Govt is pushing the Data to Media to save themselves from their failure. @PrakashWKamatPK @tarana2510 @JFAnimalWelfare @navneet_AWCS @Mythoug72350423 @mamtadevi8742 @nature_pepe @julie_dutto @daffodils100009 @r01o2j30fmnvcn @jatale_richa @NidaSayedTOI @div_ise @TOIGoaNews @RajeshMenon70 @NewtonSTOI

@joedelhi @athiest1122 @TOIIndiaNews @GovindKMaadTOI @RajeshMenon70 @PrakashWKamatPK It seemed evident that it is personal bias. Thanks for confirming. Dear @IndEditorsGuild have you seen the type of reporting that is done in India on animals. Is this acceptable to you all?
