SCIP (Sunrise Chromospheric Infrared spectro-Polarimeter) is a new instrument for the Sunrise III balloon-borne solar mission. The spectrograph-based spectropolarimeter is designed to observe near-infrared spectral lines sensitive to solar magnetic fields.
