Build a tiny test set for your AI prompt: • One clear fictional brief • One missing a deadline • One with conflicting instructions Check: facts preserved, gaps flagged, promises invented? Save the inputs and repeat the test whenever you edit the prompt.
Keep “draft” and “send” as separate steps. A simple solo-business workflow: 1. Form captures the request 2. AI drafts a response 3. You check facts, price, and promises 4. You send it Saving typing time is useful. Silently committing to work is not.
Turn a messy client request into a brief with this prompt: “Extract: goal, deliverables, deadline, constraints, and open questions. Use only the supplied text. Mark missing details UNKNOWN.” Test it on a fictional request before using client data.
Solo Workflow Lab: practical AI workflows for one-person businesses. Start here: before drafting a proposal, ask AI to list missing facts—scope, deadline, budget, exclusions—and mark them UNKNOWN. Automate the draft. Review the promises.
