You know why people burn out of content creation? Because of the toxicity you see from other streamers. From mocking people's viewer counts, to berating people's content. Is it any wonder that people distance themselves from such an environment?
God forbid people do this as a hobby or for socialising. The one upmanship is exhausting. If you can't say anything nice at all, then just hush up. Don't even get me started on the poor takes that "if you can't maintain your viewership, you should be stripped of Partner" 🙄
@Sophi_Darling I stream for me and me alone, if people enjoy my crazy shenanigans and get a laugh that's a plus, I may never be big or famous, but if I'm having a blast and making someone else's day that's a win in my book.
@Sophi_Darling Very true. My years in the music world has made me practically immune to it. Once you got haters that means you're on the right track lol I had someone type 'monkey' in my YouTube comments and I just laughed and banned them. Just keep doing what you enjoy.
@Sophi_Darling Part of the reason I stopped. So called ‘friends’ showing their true colours (which I still see consistently), and the pressure to “make it”, just got tiring.
@Sophi_Darling That’s not why. Those people were never made for the internet. Real creators burn out because they over invest their energy in areas with minimum to no actual return for excessive periods of time without being honest with themselves.
@Sophi_Darling This is one of the reasons I never really wanted to join a stream team or group. I’ve found that I’ve been at my best streaming-wise when I haven’t had other streamers in my ear at all. Unfortunately too many treat it as a competition when we’re more like coworkers and peers
