I’m currently working on some farming areas, and I’d like to show you a part of them. Once I finish the castle, it’s going to look amazing! I’m already so excited to see the final result! :) #environmenart #solodev #gamedev

I’m making ready-to-use PCG templates for the areas around houses, and I’m planning to improve them further and make them more useful over time. This is what the latest version looks like for now :)#environmenart #solodev #gamedev

I only spawned the assets using PCG, without making any additional adjustments or optimizations, and I was already able to achieve this result.

I want to learn how to create Nanite biomes, and I’m planning to dive into it as soon as possible. The main reason is the optimization and performance benefits you can see in the image #environmenart #solodev #gamedev

I upgraded my project to 5.8 this weekend. Going from 5.7.4 to 5.8 was a bit of a nightmare 😂 The optimization part is harder than I expected, unfortunately. Adding grass to the landscape and adding trees with PCG uses a lot of VRAM 😂 #gamedev #environmenart #solodev

I wanted to try it out right after finishing the new landscape material.I really enjoyed this quick test I did in a short time. Next up is building a proper village. What would you like to see in this village I'm going to build? #indiegame #environmentartist #leveldesign #gamedev

On the contrary, those who have these qualities and more will become as successful as the big studios.

Let's put it this way: those who don't have a game idea, who lack creativity, who don't know how things get done, and who can't work on their personal development will unfortunately be wiped out.

In short, game developers' work will get easier, and AI will become their biggest helper. Indie developers and small studios will speed up incredibly, and we'll see more original and beautiful games.

For example: pairs like Nanite–LOD and Ray Tracing–Lumen will merge and become single unified systems that deliver the same quality and the same optimization.

O think this will run fully consistently and stably by UE versions 6.7-6.8. There will also be very major changes.

For example: we won't have to struggle to change characters and animations anymore. Once you make your selections for the character directly within Blueprint, everything will just be set.

Using these two languages together in AI is very difficult. That's why they have to make a tough decision either everything goes with Verse, or everything goes with Blueprint. I think they'll drop both and move to a new, fully AI-compatible, visual-based language instead.

Also, the UEFN base and all the visuals/3D models made for Unreal Engine will be usable on both sides, and the two will share a single, unified library.

As my personal opinion, I can say that in Unreal Engine 6, Fortnite and the regular game editor will merge — they've announced this. But the problem is that Verse is Fortnite's language, while Blueprint belongs to the regular editor.

I opened a trial project and decided to experiment there. I continued with the old material, but despite that, the result made me quite happy, so I wanted to share it with you all :) #indiegame #environmentartist #unrealengine #leveldesign #gamedevs

For this use case, I'm forced to redesign the landscape material. When I use RTV, snow appears on the ground in places where there shouldn't be any snow, between the snow area and the normal ground area I'm using. #indiegame #environmentartist #unrealengine #leveldesign #gamedevs

Once I learned how to add RVT and FoliageGrass, I started experimenting with the landscape and got some great results. I'm working on refining and optimizing them, and I hope to achieve even better results going forward. See you at the next exciting update! #environmentartist
