@forexposure_txt Honestly, for once I agree that the person isn’t profiting off it, the person getting a tattoo doesn’t owe a commission unless they specifically commissioned it. A tattoo parlour offering it in their catalog though should pay the artist.
@SoupTomatoSoup @forexposure_txt So how about I find a piece of art, go to a tattoo parlour and ask for it to be tattooed on me for free (maybe pay cost of ink) ? Surely that is a valid expectation?
@SoupTomatoSoup @forexposure_txt No as an artist i have the right to be posted if someone permanently put my work on their body and I didn’t see a cent. Maybe other artists are cool with it, but I’m not and neither was she
@SoupTomatoSoup @forexposure_txt I guess by that logic you're saying "all art should be free as long as the person promises not to profit off of it" 🙄🙄
@SoupTomatoSoup @forexposure_txt nah, if someone wants art on their body but refuses to pay for the design work they should be rejected by the tattoo artist imo 🤷
@SoupTomatoSoup @forexposure_txt you know, that tattoo artists are getting paid for an individual sketch too, right? seems fair, isn't it? how is this different? besides, it's not likely that the tattoo will include credits for the artist to be happy with the _exposure_ either
