Sea turtles while snorkeling.
Some more amazing snorkeling photos - our students and some sea lions.
And just like that, we have landed back in Cleveland.
All students boarded and will be taking off in a little while. See everyone at baggage claim!
We got to the airport extra early for fear of long security lines. However, it was a fairly quick process. All students are through security and have some free time. We will regroup at noon.
Killing time along Ocean Drive to get some fresh air and help cut down the hours ahead waiting at the airport.
Churros and chocolate were tried by most. The manager even gave us extra churros on the house. :)
Looong layover ahead. We had a bus waiting for us and we have arrived at San Ginés to refuel with churros y chocolate.
Touchdown USA! All students off the plane in Miami. 🇺🇸
All students have checked baggage and are heading to security.
Still waiting to make our way to check in. We had one last pep talk with our Tour Director Victor. He has been amazing and the students really enjoyed him. We could not have navigated this journey without him!
Dinner. Choice of chicken, beef or fish.
We are at the Quito Airport Center. We have a reserved area for students to get their luggage settled, change if they want and then we will have our last dinner together. Afterwards we will e get the airport for check in.
Finally, we finished with a few songs in the indigenous Quechua language with a little Spanish mixed in.
Then we learned about the significance of traditional clothing with the help of a few students.
A lot of people tried it with mixed reviews.
And the final touch: roasted guinea pig on a stick!!! Presented for photo ops before being cut up and served for those who wanted to try it.
Potato soup with cheese and avocado - chicken, potatoes and veggies- fresh fruit dessert
Lunch in the home restaurant of a local family.
