We don't have to do hagiography or theological revisionism to mourn with those who mourn. But we can also respect the dead and give time for grief before we publicly address their failings. The impulse to speak quickly & publicly can arise from self-importance. Mortify it.

@SozzleKnocker I think Rev. Foster is working hard to make it abundantly clear that I was correct in my concerns that he would be unable to fulfill the PCAs ordination vows if he transferred back in. (That doesn't mean that everyone who disagrees with him does any better with that.)
