It’s hard for people to get their heads around this one, but A and B are the same color and brightness. You can crop them out and compare if you like. Visual perception is amazing, but it is also very context dependent. (Credit: Akiyoshi)

What do water drop shapes reveal about ZEISS lenses? Our abrasion test simulates a year of cleaning with 800 cotton cloth rubs. We then measure the contact angle of water droplets: beaded drops indicate strong coating performance, while spread drops signal reduced repellence.
