DWI ARREST ON NO REFUSAL WEEKEND A City of Splendora Police Department Night Shift Officer conducted a stop on a vehicle for a violation. After a roadside investigation, the driver was placed into Custody for Driving While Intoxicated.

City of Splendora Police Department Officers located 72 pounds of Marijuana inside several large black bags inside the truck rear seat compartment during a traffic stop. The street value of the drugs is $654,000 The male was arrested and charged: Felony Possession of Marijuana.

Thank you Officer Gest! This young man needed a little cheering up after a traffic accident and Officer Gest took a moment to do just that. Policing is so much more than just clearing the accident. Patrol vehicles are equipped with stuffed animals to comfort children on scenes.

Chief Wieghat and the City of Splendora Police Department will be on patrol throughout the no refusal Labor Day Holiday weekend. The City of Splendora Police Department Chief Clerk and Records Office will be closed on Monday, 9-6-21 2021 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

NOT ON OUR WATCH… A City of Splendora Police Department Night Shift Officer initiated a traffic stop at FM 2090 and Ruby on a driver who nearly caused a head on collision. After a roadside investigation, the driver was placed into Custody for Driving While Intoxicated.
