I said goodbye to Dottie yesterday evening. Her liver and kidneys were failing. She stopped eating. Nothing was helping anymore. Now she's at peace. No more pain or suffering. This is the hard part of being a feral cat caretaker. 💔

Skittles, matriarch of @SpringCreekCats, passed away this morning after battling kidney disease for several months. She was around 16/17 years old. 💔

Runt has squamous cell carcinoma. It started in his ear canal and spread to his brain and lymph nodes. 😿 The oncologist started him on palliative care. #CatWithCancer

Runt's still not eating this morning. He's lethargic, a bit wobbly, and drinking a lot of water. I have a feeling that it's too late to start him on treatments. I'm still keeping my appointment with the oncologist this morning, but I feel like it's time to send Runt OTRB. 😿

Runt likes to sleep on the kitchen table these days. The tumor on his face makes it hard for him to sleep comfortably, so I folded a blanket and rolled up the end, to make a little bed + pillow for him.
