Bees are essential to a healthy environment and help us to grow fruit and vegetables. We need them to pollinate our crops. Bees love colourful flowers and I spotted some buzzing around in my garden. Can you spot any bees in your garden? @Springwellpark_
Look what I found hopping around our garden yesterday! I was amazed at how high the frog could jump. What wildlife can you find in your garden or on your walk? @Springwellpark_
Lots of birds are coming to visit our gardens and green spaces because life is so quiet at the moment. Yesterday I spotted a robin in my garden. If you look closely you can see that she has twigs in her beak to make a nest with. What birds can you see or hear? @Springwellpark_
Bees are important as they help us grow the food we need to live. I made a Bee Bath in my garden to help the bees water in the hot weather.The bees can rest on the pebbles to drink and they won't fall into the water. Could you make a Bee Bath to help our bees, @Springwellpark_
In the dry, sunny weather, birds need water to stay healthy so that they can look after their babies properly. Can you leave some fresh water outside for them?
At the moment, lots of wildlife is coming back into our garden and green spaces. I have been thinking of some ideas to help you look after them. @Springwellpark_

What a wonderful afternoon with 1S making bird feeders to attract more birds to our Forest School Area. We also managed to plant more trees too!
The children have been very busy planting saplings in our Forest School Area. We found lots of worms and made a Worm Hotel. @springwellpark @SpringwellYear1

Yesterday the children planted saplings that will grow into trees. We will be able to watch them grow as each child continues their school journey. When the children leave our school they will leave part of themselves at Springwell in our forest. @Springwellpark_ @SpringwellYear1
We had an amazing day working with @merseyforest @Trees4Learning to plant trees in our Forest School Area. All the children in Y1 and Y3 worked so hard to plant the saplings and the sun shone! We are looking forward to watching our forest grow. @SpringwellYear1 @SpringwellYear3
What a wonderful session with 1P yesterday. We looked at the signs of Winter and how it was difficult for the birds to get food because the ground was frozen. We made bird feeders to take home to help the birds in winter. @SpringwellYear1 @springwellpark

In our last Forest School session with 3H we looked at how people in the Stone Age used flints to make sparks to start a fire. We made a fire and toasted marshmallows to make smores. @Springwellpark_ @SpringwellYear3
