Is that a deadline—or just a date you picked?
If you use Todoist for client work, separate two decisions:
• Work date: when you plan to do it.
• Hard cutoff: when it must be finished, and what happens if it is late.
An illustrative Thursday:
You have 90 minutes of usable focus time left. A client proposal needs 45 minutes and must be sent by 4 pm. A portfolio update needs another 45 minutes, but has no external deadline.
Then a client revision arrives: 45 minutes, also needed by 4 pm.
Moving every task to tomorrow would hide the conflict. Keeping everything today would promise 135 minutes of work in a 90-minute window.
One possible decision: keep the proposal and revision today. Move the portfolio update to Friday at 10 am—but only after checking that those 45 minutes fit. Confirm any affected commitments with the people involved.
If no work can move, discuss scope or timing before accepting the request.
In Todoist, Date schedules the work. Native Deadline is available on Pro/Business; otherwise record the hard cutoff in the task description or your planner. Keep any exact cutoff time visible too.
The Realistic Todoist Planning Kit includes a new-request tradeoff worksheet inside the Week Planner, plus the other planning resources: 5 PDFs + 1 importable CSV. You make the estimates and decisions.

Want to use AI to study, but not sure what to ask it?
AI Recall Study Mastery Kit gives you a routine to follow, with five editable Word documents:
1. A practice template with prompts to adapt to your course and notes.
2. A step-by-step guide for attempting questions before checking the answers.
3. A checklist for checking AI questions and feedback against your course material.
4. A tracker for recording mistakes and what needs another attempt.
5. A planner for deciding what to study next.
Start with one topic you've already studied. Try the questions, check the feedback, then record the specific point you need to revisit.
You bring your class notes and your own AI chat tool. The kit supplies the prompts, instructions and editable records.

Your task list says yes. Your calendar says no.
An illustrative day:
8 working hours
− 4 already committed
− 1 for routine overhead
− 1 protected as buffer
= 2 hours for planned tasks.
A 90-minute proposal + a 30-minute client review fit. Flexible research gets a later review. Real deadlines stay visible.
The Realistic Todoist Planning Kit includes five PDFs and an importable Todoist CSV template. You enter the estimates and make the decisions.

• Paste the tutor prompt and your notes.
• Answer one question without looking.
• Check the feedback against your source.
• Save what you missed as your next practice task.
Five editable Word documents with AI prompts, checking guidance and study templates. Illustrative AI conversation; bring your own notes and AI tool.

Your notes make sense while they're open.
Can you explain the idea with the page closed?
When you use AI to study, try giving yourself the first attempt—not the first hint.
Here's a simple routine:
1. Take one small section of your notes.
2. Ask AI to draft a question from that section, keeping the answer hidden.
3. Check that the question matches your source material.
4. Close the notes and attempt an answer before asking for help.
5. Compare your attempt with the source. Write down the specific part you missed.
For example:
“I got it wrong” doesn't tell you much about what to practise.
“I remembered the definition but missed a condition” gives you a starting point: try an example where that condition changes.
Then choose a later date to try a fresh question without your notes.
AI can help draft practice questions. It can also make mistakes, so keep your course material as the reference.
Leave the session with more than a score.
Leave with a next step.
