@amydiehl @jljenniferliu Now imagine something as powerful as Big Media having the same biases against women entrepreneurs/ artists/ authors, etc.

Currently filming a #documentary re: a @NYTimes staffer who persistently harassed and rape/death-threatened a WOC author for unveiling journalistic malfeasance, and NYT’s elimination of their Public Editor to evade accountability. abbediaz.com/2021/06/16/upd… #silentfriendthefilm

@nypost 🙄 As a person with homes and jobs in both NYC and Miami Beach, it’s frankly getting embarrassing how blatantly envious NYC is of Miami Beach.

@mediagazer @pkafka x.com/stevenwilson/s… Just a reminder about how Big Media continues to lionize white men and suppress their unscrupulousness, while it consistently denigrates #AAPI women. Happy #AAPIHeritageMonth #AAPI2023

@mediagazer @pkafka @voxdotcom @BenjySarlin @jeremypgordon @semaforben Also a reminder of who whines the loudest about @TwitterBlue : journalists. Because bluechecks have ALWAYS influenced Twitter’s algorithm. x.com/stevenwilson/s… #AAPIHeritageMonth #AAPI2023

@seanilling @annehelen Journalist A markets book of Journalist B on Twitter. Twitter grants them special privileges. Journalists then exert those privileges to suppress others (WOC authors, e.g.). 😒 x.com/stevenwilson/s… Yea, that’s not institutionally oppressive at all.👌 #VerificationFeedback

@EsotericCD @HatredIsMyMuse Just gonnna leave this right here, because it evidently really irritates former Gawker staffers, all their idiot fans, and maladroit journalists desperately clawing for jobs at NYT and NY Mag under former Gawker editors.

@tanyachen My boss, an Asian-Am woman, worked for a highly esteemed white male chef who created a famous “clean Chinese” restaurant. She quit due to discrimination/ workplace abuse. She wrote a memoir about it. This is what white Big Media did. Just saying. x.com/stevenwilson/s…

@emteehall @dongwon Really glad you got vindication for this. 🙏 Just FYI, this is what it looks like when AAPI authors get plagiarized by the @NYTimes and then harassed for years, for speaking out:

@rkobell @davidfolkenflik “An editor who travels in the same professional circles as his story's focus…” LOL. Killer quotes for a doc film about Big Media, though. 👍 Even if it does score way off the charts into the Duh segment of the Facepalm Spectrum. #silentfriendthefilm #journalism #ethics #lol

@rkobell @davidfolkenflik Oh yea? How much of a “pro”? 🤔 Have been trying to commission an investigation for quite some time now (no takers so far, of course, but I just attribute that to cowardice/ cronyism):

@yemble @jayrayner1 Exactly. What a difference 2 decades makes. 🙄 Now let’s talk about the WOC FOH worker who decried a famous chef ages ago for workplace abuse, only to be bullied and harassed by the likes of @EaterNY, @NYMag, @NYTimes etc for daring to pen an exposé. x.com/stevenwilson/s…

@ourobororoboruo Maybe you’ll love this one then: @NYTimes downplays anti-Asian racism, plagiarism, harassment of WOC author by @NYTimes editor, et al abbediaz.com/2021/05/22/ny-… And If so, maybe you’ll consider a writing commission from us?
