@NobunagaBlack @ItsARP Breaking Bad does hold up years later. You rewatch and see the Jekyll/Hyde paradigm more clearly. You see how subversive Walt's abuse was on everyone around him. Or at least that's how it hit for me on the rewatch.

@zak123 HTR x3, Real life is traumatic as fuck, in TV-land, Ted Lasso is my safe space. I'll watch everything else when I want to see bad characters cook.

@zak123 HotTakeRebuttalx2, this concept subverts a trope of focusing on bad people doing bad things to teach a lesson about human nature; thats refreshing because, yes, its great to tell a story and learn lessons through a "mean" person, but as you listed, we already have plenty of those

I swear I have better ones but this is the last picture I took of my dog Maya. I said, "go to bed. " She walks near the bed. "go to bed." She lies down and places her head on the bed. "Go to bed, Maya." She sighs. Half hound and passive aggressive af 😂

@DrBlackDeer My wife always tells me, "if you're faced with a binary, you're missing something." So, I chose secret 3rd option, even though I don't know what it is. The extention might be the play, or maybe they can be flexible in some other way.

@goodreads Haven't finished a book in 2023 yet, but the one I'm reading, Jade City by @FondaJLee, is fantastic. Going to be hard for any other book to top it this year.
