The migration is underway. After a month of brain freeze and realizing I really don't have the spoons / energy to continue running my own mastodon node, I have made an account on one of the larger instances. All contacts here are welcome to connect: @[email protected]

@HalWatchesTV Yes, in the process of getting my follow list imported from debirdify, and uploaded the csv file to the instance I signed up on, so hopefully soon the import will be processed.

Can’t handle this much free speech. Can’t criticize a billionaire. I can’t post Mastodon links. Can’t post information public info about FAA flights. Nothing happens when I report death threats and rape threats. And I’m assuming my account will get banned any second now.

Meanwhile, the vitriol and animosity whipped up on the platform in a matter of hours towards the free press creates fleeting bursts in “engagement” but lasting erosion in trust for all those who have supported Twitter over the years. 2/2

The ban appears to be what we thought it was. An impulsive attempt to lash out against accurate reporting Elon Musk didn’t like. This is exactly the role of an independent press - to hold powerful and public officials to account. 1/2

Despite many wonderful contacts and insightful content over the years, there a strong chance I will soon be deleting this app / account, as it is now becoming clear recent changes to the algorithm have been having a detrimental effect on my mental health.

Fuck Elon Musk, the world's ugliest most hypocritical man-baby who never earned a single cent of his fortune.

all of these suspensions just occurred only within the last hour. Elon is currently rapidly purging all of his biggest critics and competition from this platform

Elon Musk continues banning left leaning accounts as he admits neo-nazis back onto the site. And now he’s banned Mastadon’s account. He’s not pretend to be independent or unbiased anyone, and no one else should be pretending for him.

They are lying to you. There is not a housing shortage. There are 11 million permanently empty homes in the US.

hating crypto is fine, but look out for when “lol fuck crypto bros” leads you into supporting stuff like “ban end to end encryption” or “allow the government to blanket compel or ban speech” or “deputize wall street as ultra powerful Stasi”

@SenWarren The Digital Asset Anti-Money Laundering Act is an opportunistic, unconstitutional assault on cryptocurrency self custody, developers, and node operators Nothing about the bill would prevent the next FTX. In fact, it puts users at more risk. coincenter.org/the-digital-as…

It is beyond easy to try something new. It is a little harder to try something new when its agaisnt the rules. It takes FEARLESSNESS to persist when the status quo tries to crush you for shaking the foundations of their safe and secure institutions.

@leashless We've just changed censors. Musk is not claiming he'll follow any different policy than the TOS and Twitter FAQ already clarified quite clearly - he'll just be enforcing it differently. For ex; he unbanned alt-right Andy Ngo and then banned leftist Chad Loder at his request.
