FVG or IFVG: which is better? 👀 Traders say both are profitable, so I tested it. I ran some statistics, backtested the most popular FVG strategies, then swapped every FVG for an IFVG and compared the results. Full results: youtu.be/xGjUXlocCN4
Stop risking 1% per trade. 1% is a baseless random number. There's a very simple formula to calculate your optimal risk percentage, why not use it? Formula, explanation and a free calculator here: youtu.be/FRssyu4pHAE
I recently optimized The Trading Geek's strategy, and found a version that returned 2,500% in 5 years. But how do you know if a strategy is truly profitable or just overfit? In this video I put it through 3 rigorous tests to see if the edge is real. youtu.be/qO7UGjNKBAk
The Trading Geek claims he turned $20 into $10M by daytrading. But does his strategy actually work? I coded & backtested 130,201 versions of his strategy to find the answer. Full results in the video. youtu.be/1G6x8_79V7s
Market structure is only useful if you can define it consistently. In my latest video I break down 4 algorithms to automate market structure detection and remove all the guesswork, full code included. youtu.be/Hza5paaxsZw
@GoshawkTrades Nice video on the Timothy Masters book! Probably my favorite trading book out there. Glad to see I'm not the only one on youtube pushing data-driven, statistical trading!
Did you know you can become a trading world champion without knowing anything about trading? It sounds insane, but that's exactly how the Trading World Cup works. $21,250 is enough to buy you first place. youtu.be/ceFLzHal03s
Do fibonacci retracements actually work? There are hundreds of videos on YouTube claiming they do — but none of them provide any statistical proof. So I tested it myself: 3 hypotheses, real data, real statistics. Video linked below. youtu.be/7iz8BQ6BHe0
@Riskalgomanager @casper_smc @ProRealAlgos I do it myself in Python. You can find the exact code that I used on my GitHub page, link is in the description of the video :)
I backtested 2 of the internet's favorite trading strategies. Properly, with code and statistics. Do they actually work? h/t @casper_smc @ProRealAlgos 🎥 youtube.com/watch?v=qDtlJZ…
@PotentialShift Thanks for the honest feedback!
@PotentialShift @casper_smc @ProRealAlgos Sure! What do you think about my last video? I'm open to feedback :)
@tradertheory Testing and tuning market trading systems by Timothy Masters. Definitely changed the way I backtest and design my systems
@HogrefeVictor @TFTC21 So true. If someone found an easy way to make insane money, they wouldn’t be sharing their secrets. If you share your edge, it will deteriorate faster.
Have you ever wondered why some strategies look profitable in backtests and then fail once you go live? I just made my first ever YouTube video explaining why this happens, and how to actually prove your strategy works. :) youtube.com/watch?v=4cHiXy… #algotrading
