@DCBMEP It is MPs like Ellwood who are destroying the Conservative Party. Unfortunately there are more wets than true Conservatives in the Parliamentary Party . How on earth did they get selected? The answer, I think, lies in CCHQ.
@Jacob_Rees_Mogg It is an unbelievably ridiculous statement from our poorest ever governor of the BoE - other than Andrew Bailey whose record to date is even worse.
@LeeAndersonMP_ Only a minority know how to budget but it's absolutely key to living within one's means. Budgeting ought to be taught in schools but I doubt there are many teachers who could do that.
@PaulThomasGodd1 @DCBMEP@SuellaBraverman It was not, and I emphasise, not a serious security breach. It was a minor error of little importance. She resigned or got sacked (I'm not sure which) because her hardline position on illegal immigration was unacceptable to Truss.
@ALewerMBE@RishiSunak What a decision to have to make, choosing between the two candidates who are more responsible than anyone for bringing the country, the government and the party to their knees. Nevertheless if there is a members' vote I too will choose Sunak, as the slightly lesser evil.
@DCBMEP@trussliz The advice is absolute rubbish. How would ripping up the mini-budget and raising corporation tax restore market confidence. A u-turn of that magnitude would have the opposite effect. Sticking to the measures already announced will restore confidence as they begin to take effect.
@john4brexit My sentiments exactly. I voted for Liz Truss immediately I received my papers. Like you I have a lot of respect for Nr. Goodman but on this occasion he is giving very damaging advice.
@ALewerMBE@KemiBadenoch Sorry Andrew, you're backing the wrong horse. My preference would have been Steve Baker but he sensibly recognised he wouldn't get enough support and stood down in favour of Suella Braverman, which should secure him a cabinet position. So my vote will be for her.
