❗️ Update: We are looking at an increase in the deployment of Indian forces around the residence of @MirwaizKashmir. However, the plan to pray at Jamia Masjid is still on. We are calling on all media to reach Nigeen as soon as possible.

The minbar of Jamia Masjid has remained silent for over 3 years. Tomorrow, hopefully, @MirwaizKashmir will take his place and deliver his Friday sermon to the thousands of people at the mosque. ان شاء الله

AMU students marching against the illegal arrest of Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui, who has now been sent to a 10 days police remand, and the killings of Muslims by Assam's terror inducing police force. Students managed to gather against injustice in an otherwise empty, locked campus.

We have to resort to desperate measures, like twitter trends, because our VC doesn't respond to phone calls or emails!!! Down with apathetic VC! @ProfTariqManso1 #CancelAllexams #CancelAMUexams

We know students of AMU who have lost their parents. Would you allow them to mourn peacefully? #CancelAMUExams #SayNoToExamsInPandemic @DrRPNishank @EduMinOfIndia @AMUofficialPRO @ProfTariqManso1

The VC wants us to go take the vaccine. Does he, as a doctor know, the consequences of the vaccine? We are supposed to be sitting in an exam with fever and fatigue that comes with the vaccine? @ProfTariqManso1 #CancelAMUexams #CancelAllBoardExams

Our faculty's Dean passed away due to Covid. The VC did not even call for a condolence meeting, for any of the teaching/non teaching staff and families of students. This is his empathy with us. -Testimony (Law student, AMU) @ProfTariqManso1 #CancelAllExams #CancelAMUexams

Petition to remove an apathetic VC! While other university VCs make committees against exams, ours sends out notices upon notices to every faculty! Down with AMU administration. @ProfTariqManso1 @AMUPRO1 #CancelAMUexams

How are thirty assignments not enough to evaluate a student? Why burden them with vivas. Some of us will literally be giving vivas from the hospital! Insane. #CancelALLexams #CancelAMUexams @ProfTariqManso1

My grandfather died of oxygen shortage. But I must go and learn the five units you want me to memorize to pass this semester, having made 30 assignments in distress already. Kudos to your empathy, @ProfTariqManso1 -Student Testimony (AMU) #CancelAMUexams

It is very easy to sit in your mansion and send out notices to conduct exams. That is your privilege, @ProfTariqManso1! Come have a look at JNMC, look at how many people we have lost. #CancelAMUexams #CancelAllExams

After receiving mass emails and calls from the students, a twitter storm, and an open letter, the VC @ProfTariqManso1 has still not responded! If he doesn't respond by tomorrow, students will resort to a court case against him! #CancelAllexams #CancelAMUexams

The students ran TWO mass-mailing campaigns against exams. Thousands and thousands of emails were received by VC @ProfTariqManso1 with NOT A SINGLE RESPONSE. The VC simply doesn't care to interact! #CancelAMUexams #CancelAllexams

I lost my mother to this pandemic. There is no loss in this world bigger than the loss of a parent. It's only been a few days, and I am supposed to be studying right now, to give my vivas. -Student Testimony (AMU) @ProfTariqManso1 #CancelAMUexams
