Slightly perplexed by claims that this was a strong showing for Kilicdaroglu. In five years marked by currency crises, galloping inflation, and the Maraş earthquake, the opposition managed to shave a grand total of 0.4% from Erdogan’s support (52.5%) in the 2018 elections.
