Dingle Peninsula receives award for being Ireland’s ‘greenest place’. Congratulations to them and to Skerries, Inagh, and Dysart River Project in Co Westmeath & Dun Laoghaire the category winners; all outstanding exemplars @ElectricIreland@DingleHubirishtimes.com/environment/20…
Representatives of a cross-section of Dun Laoghaire accepted award for @IrishTimes Ireland's Greenest Suburb today. This comp is a reminder of the power of local communities. Don't give in to climate anxiety; instead do what you can on your doorstep. Think global, act local!
A short ride on the new section of the DLR central cycle lane shows how safe and welcoming it feels. Infrastructure like this will make it possible for so many more people to get around who are currently too fearful to try.#ActiveTravel#safestreets
Dun Laoghaire wins Ireland’s Greenest Suburb! A huge well done to everyone in the community who has done so much work over many years to make Dun Laoghaire a safer, greener, more human-friendly town & "a blueprint for other locations across Ireland"

Overall, it's just great to see this building well renovated and about to re-open as a tearoom again. A nice new spot to cycle to on the Coastal Mobility Route.

Brew’n@Frewyn is to open on Convent Lane by mid-September, bringing covered outdoor seating, coffee, pastries & sandwiches to the pedestrianised street. Together with Phoenix Bistro, it’s creating a lively, continental-style street scene.@dunlaoghaireb_a@dunlaoghairecra
Great to see these sort of improvements happening around the country. In Dun Laoghaire ongoing #DLRCentral works mean many parents & kids are facing into a degree of chaos as they return to school, but reminding ourselves it should be a very different picture within a few months

We’ve shown with the motorways, luas, national broadband plan and electricity interconnectors that we can build big complex projects in Ireland on time and budget. Michael O’Leary’s derision about our ability to do the same with Metrolink serves no one.

The markings you see are in preparation for the raised courtesy crossing at the bottom of Corrig Road and Glenageary Road Upper, it is great to see things moving
With limited traffic zones, 30km/h limits & car-free quays, Paris cut congestion & pollution while keeping access for those who need it. Dublin, Europe’s 3rd most congested city, could learn a lot.

Great progress on Dún Laoghaire Central Active Travel Scheme. Disruption now, but the transformation to a safer, healthier town is going to be fantastic!
