Forty invoices a month. Two minutes each to find, open, retype and match. That is two working days a year spent copying numbers that were already digital. I got tired of mine and spent four months building the thing I kept wishing existed. Today it is live. Inbox Ledger reads the mailbox you already have and turns what it finds into accounting records. Connect Gmail, Outlook or IMAP. Read only, nothing is sent and nothing is deleted. It goes back two years, not just new mail, and finds every invoice and receipt hiding in there. Vendor, dates, totals, tax and line items, matched against your bank, exported to QuickBooks or a CSV your accountant can read. Two things I built for myself before anyone asked for them: it catches the same charge paid twice, and it tells you when a vendor quietly raised the price. Four months of work to delete a task I hated. I would do it again.
