The SNC detainees and missing persons committee, in cooperation with Mizan for Studies and Human Rights, organised a workshop around "Reparation mechanisms for victims of detention and their families" sponsored by the UK FCDO. The workshop, which was held yesterday in Afrin City, featured the participation of the head of SNC detainees committee, Alise Mofrej -online- and the head of the SNC legal office, Tarek al-Kurdi in addition to survivors of detention, representatives of civil society organisations and legal professionals and human rights activists. The workshop featured in-depth, technical and detailed discussions in relation to international laws and conventions, regional and local regulations, international standards, development of legislation and judicial approaches as well as combating impunity. All the valuable inputs are to be used in developing policy papers around the topic of this workshop. @MHRNGO @Alise_Mofrej @tarekAlkurdi3 @FCDOGovUK
@SyrianHNC_en "The audacity level is not normal. Firstly, release the Kurdish detainees in your prisons. You are occupying the homes of Kurdish civilians in Afrin."
