Joe Sasso @T2Lboy

In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests. These references are not only meritless, but dangerous. There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage -and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music- this one goes too far. As so many pointed out, I was present at Route 91-where so many lost their lives- and our community recently suffered another heartbreaking tragedy. NO ONE, including me, wants to continue to see senseless headlines or families ripped apart. Try That In A Small Town, for me, refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief. Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences. My political views have never been something I’ve hidden from, and I know that a lot of us in this Country don’t agree on how we get back to a sense of normalcy where we go at least a day without a headline that keeps us up at night. But the desire for it to- that’s what this song is about.

The allegations raised against the Department now have potentially criminal and impeachable elements. As such, the authority of Congress to investigate is at its apex. Despite the opposition of the Democrats, the House must now act...jonathanturley.org/2023/06/26/who…

@RichardRohrOFM @SSpellers Good News!

Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers (@SSpellers) invites us to “imagine re-centering on the God we know in Jesus. Imagine becoming practicing communities that follow Jesus and embody his community of love.” What moving words! #DailyMeditations ow.ly/2Eip30svwIr

@JonathanTurley I always respected the teacher's angle of attack when presenting their lessons. Listening opens the door to understanding the reasoning, importance, and the depth of learning. Administrators choosing to protect the triggered student over the teacher shows failed judgement. So sad

@JonathanTurley Imagine if universities mandated that professors respect certain viewpoints over all others while also professing to teach critical thinking. They would... turn into indoctrination centers.

@TomSebago @JonathanTurley Well said. Any thoughtful, objective perspective based on scientific, historical data is always "problematic " when it comes up against the narrative of subjective feelings and positional power as the reality we need to adhere to.

@JonathanTurley Considering the fact that there is no mandatory attendance requirement to listen to these ppl speak then I assume the real reason is they are afraid that some on the left might change their opinions after listening to the “other”’side.

Professor Ruth declares that some views, like Judge Duncan's, have “no intellectual legitimacy whatsoever.” It is that easy. Of course, Ruth ignores that some of us view her anti-free speech views as an “existential threat” to higher education. jonathanturley.org/2023/03/27/som…

The Radical Left took two full generations to only hire and promote fellow Leftists in academia and the results are staring us in the face. While parents can recover their public schools by running for the local school board, recapturing academia will take much longer. The good news is that more American youngsters are choosing to go to trade schools or technical schools.

This terrible picture modeled after the famous sculpture Durer's drawing of his brother's hands should remind us, we continue to evolve 'on the shoulders of giants!' So many before us have endured greater hardships to bring us to our current level, yet we are still ignorant.

@JonathanTurley The only good part of Stanford is the Hoover Institute that employed Thomas Sowell and Victor Davis Hanson

I pray for Tucker Carlson’s safety. He’s going up against the most evil people in history.

Dr. Robert Redfield, the former CDC Director, talks about three suspicious events that took place at the Wuhan lab in September 2019: "In Sept. 2019, three things happened in that lab. One is they deleted the sequences. Highly irregular, researchers don't like to do that. The second thing is they changed the command and control from civilian to military. Highly unusual. The third, which is very telling, is they let a contractor redo the ventilation system in that laboratory. Clearly, there was strong evidence that a significant event happened in that laboratory in September."

...Censorship does not, as President Biden claims, save lives. It is more likely to cost lives by protecting approved views from challenge. It does not foster the truth any more than it fosters free speech.
