Don’t want to give my old boss @Grumpherys too much credit, but his limited hit rate for his set leads just keeps on going. This set has so many interesting and overlapping things going on, a lot of balanced color pairs and also a very different-feeling combo of mechanics. Bravo!

Anyone who isn’t having fun in MKM draft isn’t trying hard enough
Format idea: A deck which could be built in any standard format since Modern border released (ie Modern w/o MHs). If a card was banned in that standard format at some time during the season, it is banned for that Standard. Which decks are T1? Is it a good format?

It’s now likely that one of the reasons that KTK was the set that made for Arena is that there was a plan to: 1) acclimatize the player audience to face down creatures, and 2) test/prep the client for the same mechanic. Good to note for future random product choices in Arena.

I'm playing in the PTQ today, but after this weekend there's really only MTGArena queues. I once again feel like the problem with Standard isn't the length of rotation but the lack of incentives to play and opportunities to compete.

I know it sounds like I make up some of the crazy math stuff my son does, but wanted to share a proud mom moment. He recently joined Mathletes (which he was pretty anxious about), but at his district first competition he swept the individual and team rounds. Love him so much!!

OTJ is the most enjoyable set Ive drafted in years. Perfect mix of aggression, synergy, fixing, ramp, expensive cards, multicolored stuff. I dont usually love the sets with all the bonus sheets and whatnot, but theres enough removal and the bonus cards are actually kinda fun.
