Ottawa Is Making Canadian Homes More Affordable. Why Are Its Fossil-Fuel Plans Pulling the Other Way? warmingwarrior.substack.com/p/ottawa-is-ma… Ottawa is funding heat pumps to lower Canadian energy bills. Good. But if we are reducing fossil-fuel use in homes, why are national energy priorities still tied to expanding fossil-fuel exports? Canada should build clean-energy industries—not just import the equipment. TG offers a bigger possibility: clean power from warm oceans while relocating surface heat to depth. #Canada #HeatPumps #CleanEnergy #EnergyPolicy #TG #OceanEnergy #ClimateAction

What Do Canada’s Bankers and Political Decision-Makers Know That Einstein Did Not? warmingwarrior.substack.com/p/what-do-cana…

Ninety percent of the world’s population can’t be wrong. The climate problem is no longer public doubt. It is political obstruction. COP and IPCC processes operate by consensus, which lets fossil-fuel-aligned states weaken language, delay action, and protect the system driving the crisis. Most people would be better off with cleaner air, lower heat risk, greater energy security, and less dependence on volatile fossil-fuel markets. The fossil-fuel era will end. The question is whether it ends by design—or by disaster. #ClimateChange #FossilFuels #COP #IPCC #EnergyTransition #ClimatePolitics #CleanEnergy #JustTransition #ClimateJustice #Democracy #ThermodynamicGeoengineering

The Pandemic We Chose to Ignore open.substack.com/pub/warmingwar… 🚨 COVID killed millions. The world spent trillions. Climate change is larger, longer-lasting, and driven by excess heat accumulating in the oceans—yet we continue to delay. What if the biggest climate opportunity isn't carbon reduction alone, but converting excess heat into useful work? COVID was a cost. Thermodynamic Geoengineering could be infrastructure. A thread. 🧵 #ClimateChange #GlobalWarming #OceanHeat

Canada wants to protect children from online harms. Fair enough. But if we're concerned about what children see on their screens, why aren't we equally concerned about the climate they will inherit outside them? Today's children will live through rising temperatures, more intense wildfires, flooding, sea-level rise, and the economic costs of a warming planet. Climate change isn't just an environmental issue. It's a child welfare issue. If concern for children is genuine, it can't stop at the screen. It must extend to the future. #ClimateChange #Canada #FutureGenerations

Artificial Intelligence, Real Heat: How Thermodynamic Geoengineering Could Help Make AI a Climate Solution Instead of a Climate Problem open.substack.com/pub/warmingwar… AI is rapidly becoming one of the world's largest new consumers of electricity. But what if AI could help finance infrastructure that does more than produce energy? Climate change is fundamentally a heat problem. The oceans absorb roughly 90% of the excess heat trapped by greenhouse gases. Thermodynamic Geoengineering proposes using ocean thermal gradients to generate electricity while relocating heat away from the surface ocean. Could AI become a customer for infrastructure that powers computation and helps cool the planet? My latest article explores the possibility. #AI #ClimateChange #OceanHeat #Thermodynamics #CleanEnergy

The Atmosphere Doesn't Listen to Speeches open.substack.com/pub/warmingwar… The atmosphere doesn't listen to speeches. It doesn't care about net-zero announcements, climate summits, or political promises. It keeps its accounts in energy. Mark Carney recently said there is no credible path to net zero without affordability. True. But affordability isn't just about the cost of action. It's also about the cost of inaction. Every year the oceans accumulate more heat. Every year the climate debt grows. Canada doesn't lack capital. Canada lacks the ability to convert capital into physical outcomes. Climate change is ultimately an infrastructure problem. The real question isn't what targets we're prepared to announce. It's what we're prepared to build. The most effective climate solutions may not be those that cost the least. They may be those that pay for themselves. The atmosphere won't distinguish between promises made and promises kept. It will simply record the outcome. Why We Have Been Looking at Climate Change Through the Wrong End of the Telescope open.substack.com/pub/warmingwar… We've been taught climate change is a carbon problem. What if the real problem is heat? Earth is currently accumulating energy at roughly 500 TW—more than 10× all human energy use. Over 90% of that excess heat is being absorbed by the oceans, where it can persist for centuries. Carbon is the mechanism. Heat is the consequence. Heat is what accumulates. Heat is what raises sea levels. Heat is what intensifies storms. Capital Without Purpose open.substack.com/pub/warmingwar…

The Crime of Excess Heat open.substack.com/pub/warmingwar… Climate change is not just about carbon. It’s about time. Surface ocean heat acts in years: storms, sea-level rise, ecosystem collapse. Deep ocean heat acts in centuries. For decades, OTEC has been sold as an energy technology. But its larger thermodynamic significance may be heat relocation — moving heat from the fast surface ocean into the slow deep ocean, changing the timeline of climate impacts. The atmosphere reacts quickly. The ocean remembers. The ocean is the clock.

The Energy Abundance Thesis open.substack.com/pub/warmingwar… We don’t have an energy shortage. We have an energy management failure. The Earth receives more energy every day than we use in a year. The ocean stores it. What we call “global warming” is excess energy in the wrong place.

The AI Economy Needs a Physical Backbone open.substack.com/pub/warmingwar…

The AI Economy Needs a Physical Backbone open.substack.com/pub/warmingwar… AI may reshape the economy — but it runs on electricity, cooling, and massive physical infrastructure. At the same time, younger generations face rising housing costs, shrinking job ladders, and growing economic uncertainty. Meanwhile, 90% of global warming heat is stored in the ocean. What if managing that heat became the next great energy system? Thermodynamic Geoengineering proposes turning ocean heat into electricity and hydrogen while moving excess heat deeper into the ocean. If viable at scale, it could create a new industrial frontier — and a future worth building. #ClimateSolutions #EnergyTransition #ArtificialIntelligence #EnergyInnovation #FutureOfEnergy #ClimateTech
